What Makes A Good Blu-Ray Player? 3D And Other Miscellaneous Features

What Makes A Good Blu-Ray Player? 3D And Other Miscellaneous Features

Hd Media Player

All the best Blu-ray Players have the same basic features, such as playing accepted Blu-ray discs, Dvds and Cds. They will have at least one Usb port that supports playback of movies, music and photos files. And all models will have a Hdmi production which can internally decode the latest audio formats such as Dolby TrueHd and Dts-Hd devotee Audio, or can bit-stream these formats in their native form to your A/V receiver to decode. You will also notice that good Blu-ray players will perform these functions and features consistently and only vary slightly in quality. Development it hard to distinguish between the different models.

However, there are other features found on players that are not common and separates unique, good Blu-ray players from the quarterly ones. For example, not all Blu-ray players are capable of playing back 3D Blu-ray discs. If you have already purchased a 3D Hdtv or planning on obtaining one in the near future, it would be worth it to invest in a player that can play 3D Blu-ray Discs. While still not a deal breaker right now for most consumers if their player does not have 3D capability; more and more movies are being released in the 3D format. And you do not want to add the extra costly of having to upgrade your player later down the road when you resolve you want to view 3D movies at home.

Other rare features found on unavoidable Blu-ray players is sustain for Dvd-Audio and Super-Audio-Cd formats. For a lot of audiophiles out there, this extra features is a real treat. These formats never verily captured the intention of the public, but Sacd can still be purchased with new releases coming out every week. Sony is one business that makes all their players Sacd capable. But mostly, these formats are found on higher-end players which normally use a high-end Dac (Digital-To-Analog Converter) which will make your Cds sound better.

Of course, a player's Dacs are bypassed if you use the Hdmi port, so a Blu-ray Player that has multichannel analog outputs will come in very handy. Multichannel analog outputs are also nice for those with older A/V receivers that do not have any Hdmi inputs. You will get to hear the new audio formats in stunningly realistic surround sound. There are not many mid-level players out there that will have multichannel analog outputs, most manufacturers have moved away from this feature. You can use optic or coax digital audio outputs, if the player has them, but they can not send the new Blu-ray's High-Resolution audio formats.

Multiple Hdmi Outputs is someone else feature that is widely seen as very suitable on players. Used in general for 3D playback, dual Hdmi outputs will allow you to send your 3D video signal to your Hdtv and your audio signal to your A/V receiver. Great for those who have A/V receivers can not deal with a 3D signal. It cuts down on expense, since you do not have to upgrade to a new receiver. Complicated Hdmi Outputs will also let you connect two Tvs to the player. But be aware that not you might not get the same execution out of both Hdmi outputs.

So when you are seeing for a player, these features might not be on top of your must have list. That is perfectly fine. It is probably best to start out with the cheapest player you can get, although make sure it has Online Streaming Media Services. Later you can start to think about getting other features you might need, such as 3D, Dual Hdmi Outputs, Dvd-Audio/Sacd playback or multichannel analog outputs. Where ever you start, getting a player is worth it. Costing in any place between .00 to 0.00, you can get an perfect player that will give you an impressive Hd Blu-ray movie experience. More costly players will perform better, but they are only verily for the die-hard enthusiast.

Blu-Ray Vs High Def - What's the good Way to Watch Movies?

Blu-Ray Vs High Def - What's the good Way to Watch Movies?

Hd Media Player

The time has ultimately arrived for the Dvd to be supplanted with a best technology. There are two currently available to consumers for the ultimate in video viewing experience: Blu-Ray or Hd Dvd. They both have more "techie" sounding names than the former Dvd, but which one is best for the ultimate viewing experience?

Before getting into the dissimilarity in the middle of Blu-Ray and Hd Dvd's, it's important to note the following. The only way that you may get the most out of either your Blu-ray or Hd Dvd is by having a Tv that is capable of having the potential photo that these two types of media contain. Having a great sound principles related to your Tv or entertainment town can also prove to be beneficial.

Both Blu-ray and Hd Dvd's are supported by big name brands in the home entertainment industry. Hd Dvd's are supported by Toshiba, Intel, and Microsoft ( meaning you can play Hd Dvds on your Xbox 360 as well). Blue-rays are supported by Samsung, Pioneer, and Sony. The PlayStation 3 is also blu-ray capable.

The differences lie in the warehouse space on each disc. High Def Dvd discs hold 15Gb per side of a 2-sided disc. Blu-ray holds 25Gb on each side. This enables the movie to have a best potential sound and photo as there is more room to hold the details required. Any way High Def Dvds are not to be laughed at either. Hd provides a clear photo and exquisite sound coverage.

High Def Dvd players tend to be less expensive than Blu-ray disc players for now. However, because these are two similar formats, it may be beneficial to wait it out and see which of these two format survives the competition: That way you know that if you have to purchase an expensive player, that you will spend your money on the one that will offer more movie and entertainment choices.

Samsung Bd-D6700 delineate - A 3D Blu-Ray Player With Dual Hdmi

Samsung Bd-D6700 delineate - A 3D Blu-Ray Player With Dual Hdmi

Hd Media Player

A part of Samsung's 2011 Blu-ray player line-up, the Bd-D6700 is pack full of great features, with an innovative and unique design. This 3D player has built-in Wi-Fi, an exhaustive list of Online Streaming Media Services and dual Hdmi Outputs. One major drawback of the Bd-D6700 is its high price of almost 0.00 (Online retailers are selling it for about 0.00). Most Blu-ray players have decreased significantly in price over the last few years. So the query needs to be asked if the Bd-D6700 is worth the cost.

The main presume for the high price tag is largely because of the dual Hdmi Outputs. Very rare in most players, dual Hdmi outputs are for those users who want to hear the most recent high-resolution audio from a Dolby Digital True Hd or Dts specialist soundtrack but do not have 3D-compatible A/V receiver. Dual Hdmi outputs allows you to have one Hdmi cable linked to your 3D Hdtv (Video Connection) and the other linked to your A/V receiver(Audio Connection).

But this is not the only feature to like. There are many other great things to rave about with the Bd-D6700. This includes its unique design. Samsung has all the time tried to provide players with aesthetics that are interesting and interesting to the eye. The silver color chassis of the Bd-D6700 will undoubtedly accomplish this and stand out from all those slippery black boxy players. The disc loading tray is gone; in its place is a slot-loading system. The disc naturally slides into the player, much like a car Cd player. Right below this is a Lcd display screen with basic touch sensitive operate buttons. Providing the Bd-D6700 with a clutter-free exterior.

The remote operate has a nice lay-out, with a dedicated Netflix button which will allow you to passage the beloved online service fast and easily. The Bd-D6700 can also be controlled by your smartphone. There are applications for iOs and Andriod to accomplish basic operate functions. The best part of which will allow you to entry text commands. Great for searching or registering for online streaming services. The user interface for the Bd-D6700, although contemporary looking and colorful, could be made a petite simpler to use.

Video Quality: The Bd-D6700 provides excellent Full Hd 1080p/24 video resolution. And it can up-scale Sd article to near Hd levels. Great for those users who have large Dvd collections. Image ability when playing 3D Blu-rays, standard Blu-rays, Dvds or streaming online video should be satisfactory to most consumers. Connections for the Bd-D6700 include the two Hdmi Outputs, a Component Video production (restricted to 480i resolution due to Aacs rules) and Composite Video Output.

Audio Quality: The Bd-D6700 provides decoding for the most recent High-Resolution audio formats - Dolby TrueHd - Dts-Hd Ma - or you can forward these audio formats in their native bit-stream form to be decoded by your A/V receiver. As stated before, one of the highlights of the Bd-D6700 is its dual Hdmi outputs. Allowing users with a non-3D-compatible A/V receiver to enjoy the 7.1-channel surround sound. A nice feature that will save you money by not having to upgrade your A.V receiver. But for those with less concerning ears, you can use the visual digital audio production that comes with most 3D players. You basically get the same sound quality. For these users, a player with dual Hdmi outputs would not be worth the extra cost.

The Bd-D6700 does not only play 3D Blu-rays but it will allow you to turn Sd images to 3D. This means your standard Blu-rays, Dvds and even streaming article can be transformed into 3D images. While this is more or less a gimmick (and can be found on most 3D Hdtvs), it is still a nice petite feature will allow you to relive movies from a whole new perspective. Other new innovative features include the One Foot Connection. With a Samsung wireless router, you can associate the Bd-D6700 by placing it within one foot of the router while the setup, without a password. Once linked you can move the player in any place within your house. This provides an easy and quick way to associate to the internet.

There is also an Ethernet Port to produce an internet connection. But once linked you have passage to Samsung Smart Tv and the Smart Hub interface. Here is where you will find all of the Bd-D6700's streaming media services. This includes Netflix, Pandora, YouTube, Vudu, and Blockbuster. Also communal networking sites as Facebook and Twitter. There is an application store, you can customize a home page, due searches and it even recommends movies to you based on past viewing habits.

With an internet relationship you can also use any Bd-Live features found on safe bet Blu-ray discs. The Bd-D6700 has 1 Gb of internal memory for storing any Bd-Live data. Other features include Usb playback and Dlna support. Dlna allows you to streaming article from other Dlna devices, such as your computer, to be displayed on your Tv screen. The Bd-D6700 can reserve the following files - Avi, Mkv, Wmv, Mp4, Mpg video, DivX Hd, Mp3, Wma and Jpeg.

The Pros: The Bd-D6700 3D Blu-ray player from Samsung is adequate with two Hdmi Outputs, built-in Wi-Fi, 1Gb of internal memory, tons of Online Streaming Media Services (Netflix, Hulu Plus, Mlb.Tv, Vudu, CinemaNow, Pandora, Facebook, Twitter and more) and Dlna capability. It provides excellent images (Full Hd 1080p/24 video output) and sound (Dolby TrueHd - Dts-Hd Ma) ability on both standard Blu-rays and 3D Blu-rays. It can up-scale Dvds to 1080p.

The Cons: The Bd-D6700 high price tag may not appeal to many consumers. You may want to consider the cheaper Samsung's Bd-D6500, which is a very similar player, only lacking the dual Hdmi Outputs. Speed times for the Bd-D6700 is slightly below the average of most 2011 mid-level players.

The Final Word: The Samsung Bd-D6700 is an excellent Blu-ray player. Offering many great features together with 3D, remarkable images and sounds, Dual Hdmi Outputs, internal warehouse memory, Dlna reserve and much more. It's innovative Smart Tv and Smart Hub offer one of the most overall array of online streaming and communal networking services - lacking only Amazon Instant Streaming - Which has the largest collection of Television shows. If you are not put off by the high price, the Bd-D6700 is a good choice and would make a nice increasing to anyone's Home Entertainment Theater. - Price you should look for when purchasing - Under 0.00

Sony Bdp-N460 Blu-Ray Player recap

Sony Bdp-N460 Blu-Ray Player recap

Hd Media Player

Released in October of 2009, the Bdp-N460 from Sony was an attempt to catch up with Lg, Panasonic, and Samsung who all offered Blu-ray Players with Online Streaming Media Services. It is a Profile 2.0 player that comes with a range of streaming features and with a lower price than most Sony Blu-ray Players. This combination, along with the fact that it is Sony, so you know the Video and Audio capability will be high, makes for an intriguing product.

The make of the Bdp-N460 is slim with a front slippery black front panel. The front panel itself is a very clean and clutter free. To the right of the player there are the Play and Stop Buttons. Above this you will find the eject button. On the left is the power button. The Lcd display is right town and easy to see with large white lettering.

The display is small but you should have no problem looking it. For those who do not like the display to be seen it has a nice highlight where it can be dimmed or even turned off. The discs loading tray is found by flipping open the front front panel. A Usb Port is settled right below the controls on the right of the player. You should not have any issues access this Usb Port. However, all other connections are settled on the back of the player. This includes an additional one Usb Port, but this time the port is recessed into the player. It is encompass by black plastic and has just a small occasion but probably will not allow for larger Usb drives.

Video Quality: There is a Hdmi output, a Composite output, and Component outputs to for video connection. The Bdp-N460 supports both 1080p/60 and 1080p/24 outputs via the Hdmi connection. This relationship will give you the best inherent picture when playing back Blu-ray Discs and Dvds. Playback of both Blu-ray and Dvd disc is very good on the Bdp-N460. Other, more expensive Blu-ray Players may produce higher capability images compared to the Bdp-N460, but you will have to pay 0 or 0 more for these players. Considering this, the Bdp-N460 performs very well and you should not have any complaints about video quality.

Audio Quality: Audio relationship for the Bdp-N460 are the Hdmi Output, 2.0ch analog Outputs, and Digital Audio Outputs (Coaxial, Optical). The player has internal audio decoding for Dolby TrueHd & Dts-Hd scholar Audio. It can replacement these high resolution audio formats in their native bitstream form over a Hdmi cable so your Audio/Video receiver can decode them. Unfortunately, the Bdp-N460 does not have multi-channel analog outputs. Therefore, the only way to replacement high resolution audio formats is with a Hdmi connection.

Beside video and audio connections, the player has an Ethernet relationship found on the back. Once connected to the internet you can access a whole of Online Streaming Media Services for movies, videos, music, photos, news, etc. It has an ever growing list of over 25 online content providers such as Netflix, Amazon Video On Demand, Slacker Radio, YouTube and many more. While it does not have built in wireless capability, it does have built in software that will make it easy for you to associate the player to your wireless network. This requires purchasing a Linksys Wireless Ethernet Bridge (Wet-610N). (Please note, even though Sony says it has built in software to make this process easy, installing a wireless bridge can be a difficult undertaking.)

An internet relationship will also allow you to access any Bd-Live content found on sound Blu-ray Discs. There is no internal memory on the Bdp-N460, so you will need external memory in the form of a Usb drive in order to download any material.

The Pros: The Sony's Bdp-N460 Blu-ray Player provides very good image capability on Blu-ray discs. It can stream online media such as Netflix, Amazon Video On-Demand, YouTube, Slacker, and Npr. It is Profile 2.0 or Bd-Live compatible and has internal audio decoding for Dolby TrueHd and Dts-Hd scholar Audio.

The Cons: Unfortunately it has no internal Wi-Fi and no internal memory. Has the inconvenience of no eject button on the remote control. You can find outdated material on the internet content channels.

The Final Word: If you can overlook some missing features, Sony's Bdp-N460 Blu-ray Player makes for a solid mid-range Blu-ray Player. It has a low price tag, online streaming media capability and very good image quality. -- Price you should look for when purchasing -- Under 0.00

Samsung Bd-D7500 quote - The World's Slimmest Blu-Ray Player

Samsung Bd-D7500 quote - The World's Slimmest Blu-Ray Player

Hd Media Player

Samsung has all the time been one of the leading industry when it comes to designing innovative and unique Blu-ray Players. The extremely stylized Bd-D7500 player is no exception. Listed at just 28 mm (less than an inch) thick, it claims to be the worlds thinnest player on the market. But like all Samsung players, it does not rely on looks alone; it has all the most recent hi-tech advances such as 3D capability, 2D to 3D conversion, Wi-Fi, Dlna and much more. Not to mention a higher price tag than most blu-ray players.

Most of this extra cost can be found in the styling of the Bd-D7500. It does pose an enthralling silhouette with its Samsung's 3S construct opinion (slim, symmetrical and slot in). The player itself is coated with an aluminum desist giving it a hi-tech feel and can be mounted to a wall or fitted onto a semi vertical stand. Because of the construct and the fact the disc loading tray is located on the right side of the player, the Bd-D7500 is not well distinguished to being located into a cabinet. Besides, with its touch senor controls and integrated blue lighting effect the Bd-D7500 will be a stand out in anyone's home theater and therefore needs to be located where it can be noticed.

Video Quality: photograph capability on the Bd-D7500 player is extremely good, for both 3D images and stand 2D blu-ray images. Images are brought to the screen in a brilliantly displayed of vivid and crystal clear quality. Disc loading speeds are fast and the Bd-D7500 will up-convert your old Dvds to near Hd levels. The up-conversion of Dvds has greatly improved over past Samsung players, but it is still not as good as some of the higher-end players or even Sony's PlayStation 3. The player can even take suitable 2D images and convert them to 3D. However, the capability of these images will vary greatly, depending on the source material.

curious in Blu-Ray Dvd? Take a Look at The Blue-Ray Hd Player Models

curious in Blu-Ray Dvd? Take a Look at The Blue-Ray Hd Player Models

Hd Media Player

The new generation Blu-Ray Dvd employs a blue light laser to illuminate the pits found in the Dvd disc. It results in huge data storehouse in the same space, as blue light has a shorter wavelength and hence the pits can be spaced closer together. The Hdtv - Blu-Ray Hd players are designed to play such tightly packaged Dvds.

The summer of 2006 saw the store flooded with an wonderful range of players from big players like Panasonic, Samsung and Pioneer. The introductory cost of these players is colse to 00 to 00, but it certainly will dip with competition. These players are compatible with the 1080p resolution Hdtv sets which were launched at the same time.

The technical specifications of the player: 720, 1080 or 1920 x 1080 relate the number of horizontal lines of pixels, with the larger number corresponding to resolution. The printed letter 'p' or 'i' indicates progressive and interlaced, respectively. These specifications determine the potential of projected images.

The latest Blu-Ray players are designed for a 1080p signal production via the Hdmi (High Definition Multimedia Interface) jack. Although the current Tv sets change the 1080i resolution of Hd-Dvd models, the time to come holds promise for the 1080p native resolution Hdtv sets very soon. There are assorted models and their most prominent features drives store interest.

The Samsung Bd-P1000 model costs 00 (twice the cost of Toshiba's Hd-Dvd player). This player is a slim, high potential unit from one of the leaders in the best Dlp Tvs manufacturers of Hdtv. Although many Hdtv sets come with a built-in memory card slot, this player has a 9-in-2 Multi Memory Card slot which enables digital photos to be displayed on the Tv set. Samsung also promises to add an alarm utility in the player, which would alert the viewer to an upcoming show or event. This model is only a player and does not support recording as of now.

The Pioneer Bdp-Hd1 player offers some features like Home Media Gallery software that allows viewers to display digital photos, listen to music or watch movies all stored on the home computer, not found on the Samsung. The Pioneer manufacturers are known for their exquisite potential consumer electronics goods like Cd changer and reliable Hdtv models. Hence the player looks promising but costs colse to ,800 initially.

The Panasonic Dmp-Bd10 was launched in September 2006, along with the company's plasma-type 1080p Hdtv. The introductory store price is colse to ,500. Panasonic is rated to be the most beloved in the field owing to the report of their exquisite potential Dvd player and Hdtv sets. The unit has been launched along with the company's rights Ez-Sync Hdavi feature, which enables viewers to join together and operate many Hdmi (High Definition Multimedia Interface) units with a singular remote.

Sony is due to facilitate the Hd player compatibility with its Playstation 3 model in November 2006. This model would cost colse to 0 and should be able play Blu-Ray discs along with downloading and playing games.

Samsung Bd-C6800 Blu-Ray Player summary

Samsung Bd-C6800 Blu-Ray Player summary

Hd Media Player

Samsung earlier in 2010 came out with a line up of stand alone Blu-ray Players. But this has not stopped them from releasing a whole new trio of Blu-ray Players, all of which have Full Hd 3D Blu-ray capability. Samsung already has a 3D Blu-ray Player, the Bd-C6900. It reception was good among both experts and consumers, but it is more high-priced compared to Sony's 3D compatible Blu-ray Players. This could be one of the reasons for the new 3D Blu-ray Players.

The new Blu-ray Players from Samsung are the Bd-C5900 (0 list price), Bd-C6800 (0 list price) and the Bd-C7900 (0 list price). As you can see they range in price, giving you more options to select from. Which should help you plump the right 3D Blu-ray Player to fit your budget. The Bd-C6800 is the mid-price Blu-ray Player. It can be best described as the same model as Samsung's Bd-6500 plus 3D capability, which was released earlier in 2010.

Adopting the slim make they have incorporated with their Tvs, Samsung has designed the Bd-C6800 with the same approach. It is only 1.7 inches thick and has a black metal close that will match Samsung's Tv's. And for an added feature, Samsung has made the 3D logo glow with a nice spellbinding blue color. Giving the player a High Tech feel. Also glowing are the basic controls placed on the right side of the player. The disc loading tray can be found on the left side. The broad make is an spellbinding one and should fit well into anyone's home theater.

Video Quality: The Bd-C6800 will give you a very good picture. It has Full Hd 1080p/24 playback when playing back Blu-ray discs. The video connections consist of a Hdmi(v1.4) Output, Composite Outputs, and Component Outputs. For best image result, the Hdmi connection is the best when linked to a 1080p Hdtv. This will also give you the best results when playing back non High Definition article such as Dvds and streaming online videos via the players up scaling features. The Bd-C6800 comes with a Screen Fit feature. When this button is selected it will convert 21:9 aspect ratio article to approved 16:9 aspect to provide you with less distractions.

The Bd-C6800 has internal audio decoding for Dolby TrueHd, Dolby Digital, Dts-Hd specialist Audio, Dolby Digital Plus. But having 7.1-channel analog audio outputs will allow your Audio/Video receiver to decode the High Resolution audio formats. This is great for those who have older receivers.

The great Full Hd 1080p video and 7.1-channel studio audio quality you get when playing Blu-ray discs is the same when playing 3D Blu-ray discs. However, when playing back 3D Blu-ray discs you do need to connect the player to a 3D Tv and have a pair of 3D glasses. Not many 3D Blu-ray movies are currently available right now, but there is a highlight that will allow you to transform quarterly movies and sports into 3D images.

The Bd-C6800 is not only a 3D capable Blu-ray Player. It has many of the great features you come to expect in a mid range player. It has Bd-Live hold so you can have passage to article found on selected Blu-ray discs. The article itself has to be downloaded from the internet and can be such things as deleted scenes, current movie trailers, chat rooms, online games or even live commentary. Getting this article is made very easy with the inclusion of an Ethernet Port and built-in Wi-Fi. Allowing you to connect to the internet with out too much trouble. It also has 1gb of internal memory so there would be no need for an external Usb flash drive to store downloadable content.

Having a wireless internet connection will be useful to take benefit of Internet/Tv and Samsung's apps. These apps will allow you to passage a number of Online Streaming Media Services such as Netflix, Blockbuster, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Pandora, Picasa, Flickr, Monopoly gaming, AccuWeather, Usa Today, and many more.

If you do not want to stream data from the internet the Bd-C6800 allows you to use a Usb devise to playback varied media formats like Jpeg, Mp3, DivX, DivX Hd, Avchd and Mkv. The player also comes with Samsung's AllShare feature, which means the player is Dlna certified. This will allow you to sync up your entire household though the Blu-ray Player. With a wired or wireless connection, the Blu-ray Player is linked to your Home Network. This will let you stream your computer's audio and video files to your Hdtv using your remote.

The Pros: The Bd-6800 Blu-ray Player from Samsung is very similar to its earlier release, the Bd-C6500. The main divergence between the two Blu-ray Players is that the Bd-C6800 has Full Hd 3D Blu-ray capability. Allowing you to playback 3D Blu-ray Discs at 1080p. It also has, Wi-Fi built-in with 1Gb of internal memory, Bd-Live Ready, Ultra Fast Play, Dlna certified and 7.1 analog audio outputs. Supports online media services: Internet @ Tv /Samsung Apps(provides article from Netflix, Pandora, Vudu, Blockbuster, Picasa and Twitter)

The Cons: May want updating firmware right away to use all features, especially setting up Wi-Fi connection.

The Final Word: Overall, Samsung's Bd-C6800 Blu-ray Player provides great video and audio quality. With the added benifit to playback 3D Blu-ray disc. Of procedure a 3Dtv and 3D glasses are also required to view 3D images. With the Internet/Tv highlight you are given an ever growing passage to digital online content. The Samsung Bd-C6800 is offered to you at a cheap price and has a great set of features. -- Price you should look for when purchasing -- Under 0.00

3D Technology Checklist

This product is 3D-related. To help you get a great 3D experience, use the checklist below to ensure you have everything you need. 3D viewing requires:

A Display
First, you'll need a 3D-ready display--whether it's a 3D HDTV, 3D projector, or 3D computer monitor. These displays have more processing power than standard 2D models for displaying 3D images in rapid succession.
A Source
Your display may be ready for 3D playback, but you'll still need a device to read 3D content. This can be a cable box with a subscription to a 3D channel, a 3D Blu-ray Disc player, or a PlayStation 3 system.
3D Content
3D content--the actual entertainment, in other words--will be played back using the source mentioned above, whether it's a 3D broadcast from your cable provider, a 3D Blu-ray Disc, or a 3D video game.
3D Glasses
For now, the vast majority of 3D HDTVs require glasses for 3D viewing. Many use powered "active shutter" glasses, others polarized "passive" glasses. You'll need one pair per viewer, and they'll have to be compatible with your display, whether they're the same brand, or a pair of "universal" glasses designed to work across brands.
HDMI Cable
To connect your source (such as a 3D Blu-ray Disc player) to your display, you'll need a high-speed HDMI cable. Cables with this designation feature bandwidth speeds up to 10.2 Gbps (gigabits per second), for carrying the 3D signal without any loss of quality.

If you want to get more information about 3D, shop our 3D products, watch videos, or interact with other customers, we invite you to visit 3D 101, our customer center about everything 3D.

Internet-Ready Devices

Internet-ready devices use your broadband connection to deliver dynamic content to your television, whether it's streaming video from Netflix, new music from Pandora, or a quick glance at today's weather forecast.

Although there is overlap, each manufacturer offers a unique bundle of free or paid services, including streaming video and music, social networking apps, online photo galleries, news and financial updates, weather info, sports scores, and a variety of other smartphone-like applications.

Manufacturers continue to add new content to their offerings, keeping customers current through firmware updates, and making a bit of research a prudent step in your buying decision.
